About nvgc
A Tradition of Access Since 1959
The Northern Virginia Gun Club was organized in 1959, in order to fill a need for persons of modest income who want to participate in shooting activities. The Club provides all the essential elements provided by other clubs, but at a per member cost below that charged elsewhere in the area.
Club Facilities & Property
Northern Virginia Gun Club maintains long-term exclusive use of 233 acres in King George County, Virginia, near Fredericksburg. The property offers a well-rounded setting for a wide variety of shooting activities, with general-purpose ranges featuring covered firing points from 25 to 200 yards, two skeet fields, two trap fields, an IHMSA pistol silhouette range, a modified rifle silhouette range, and a camping grove for member use. In addition to the ranges themselves, the club property serves as the center of club life, hosting meetings, events, and outdoor gatherings throughout the year.

Club Life, Events & Member Participation
Membership at Northern Virginia Gun Club goes beyond range access. The club holds monthly membership meetings on the third Saturday of each month, except January, and hosts annual traditions including the Membership Dinner, Open House on National Hunting and Fishing Day, and the Annual Club Picnic. Members receive a monthly newsletter with updates on past, current, and upcoming activities. The club also offers opportunities to participate in seasonal leagues, intra-club matches, junior marksmanship programs, and hunting access for qualified members. Family involvement is encouraged through associate memberships for spouses and children under 18 living in the member’s household, allowing them to take part in many club activities and outings.
